Quality assurance

Infopulse Ukraine implemented quality assurance system according to ISO9001:2000 standard and passed the certification process in February, 2004. We consider IS0 9001 standards and guidelines as a way to: demonstrate the quality of development process applied in the company, improve the quality of products being delivered, and increase the projects cost effectiveness.

The quality assurance procedures are applied to all software development activities in Infopulse Ukraine: project management, planning, reporting, building software requirements specification set, business processes modeling, system analysis and design, designing system architecture, system testing, system distribution, integration and deployment, writing end-user documentation, system configuration and change management, and much more. Each procedure is defined precisely and formalized in a document called a guideline. The complete set of guidelines defines entire scope of procedures under the company's Quality System.

Defining and formalizing Quality System procedures gives us a way to:

• Collect the best experience and practices reached in large number of projects in the past;
• Document, track and monitor all activities;
• Plan and assess the status of every activity more objectively;
• Store history of every activity;
• Do all activities in a unified common way accepted in the company (or in the project).

In addition, the Quality Assurance indicator panel is designed for every procedure. The indicator panel contains set of indicators demonstrating quality of performing some particular activity by some individual. Quality Assurance is in charge of designing, improving and monitoring quality indicators of all activities performed by individuals involved in project. This method ensures all development activities are performed uniformly and at the accepted level of quality.

As Rational Software Corporation is a partner of Infopulse Ukraine we employ Rational Unified Process (RUP) designed by Rational Software Corporation while building the company's Quality System.
